Each Memorial Day we celebrate with cook-outs and get-togethers, but what are we missing...
We are missing an opportunity to take a moment to think of those men and women who have lost their lives for us. These fathers, sons, brothers... These mothers, daughters and sisters gave of themselves so that we may live in a land of the free.
So many have served in wars dating back to Civil Wars and before, or they have served in recent wars in Afghanistan or Libya to bring democracy to the world.
We celebrate this year with our family/friends. Let's take a moment to attend a Memorial Day celebration in our hometowns. Let's remember those who gave their lives for us. And, let's also support our veterans who served who reside in our own communities.
